Macau extends 24-hour NAT test requirement for travel to and from Zhuhai for additional seven days

The Macau government has announced that the 24-hour NAT requirement for customs clearance between Zhuhai and Macau will be extended for seven days, until midnight on 7 December. This is the third time since the start of November that the government has extended its NAT clearance.

The decision comes amid mainland China’s growing COVID-19 outbreak, which saw 37,000 new infections detected on Tuesday including 8,700 new cases in Guangdong Province.

There were also new cases detected in Macau, with at least five cases confirmed Tuesday.

The Macau government announced that all people in Macau will be required to undergo RAT testing for three consecutive days starting on Wednesday. Casino staff are already required to undergo NAT testing every four days as of last Friday 25 November.
