Genting’s Dream Cruises to start accepting international travelers on Singapore sailings

Asian-based cruise ship operator Dream Cruises, part of the Genting Cruise Lines group, has opened its World Dream ship to international travelers for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic following updated guidelines from authorities in Singapore.

World Dream had previously been available only to Singapore residents after resuming sailings last November, but the recent introduction of Vaccinated Travel Lanes for fully vaccinated tourists from approved countries to enter the sovereign state has allowed Dream Cruises to expand its offering.

The company said it “marks a new milestone for Dream Cruises that will help to fuel the recovery of the cruise industry in Singapore and regionally.”

Dream Cruises President Michael Goh said, “World Dream has carried over 200,000 guests since cruising resumed in Singapore on 6 November 2020 and celebrated its first anniversary earlier this month.

“With cruise bookings now open to non-residents in Singapore and international travelers, it is indeed fantastic news as we have been working hard towards this goal with the demonstration of safe cruises over the past year.

Our progression to the next phase of cruising is timely and we are highly optimistic that demand will continue to rise with the contribution of the Fly-Cruise segment.”
